Kevin started his business doing contract work for the local council and domestic electrical work. "I needed a simple and reliable computer system that would perform well." When he needed a computer system, his brother recommended Software Toolhouse. Kevin has been satisfied with the solution provided and has stuck with us right through. Kevin now employs a number of sparkies to help him. Much of his work now is administrative, and trying to keep up with progress in the electrical industry (he is involved with industrial controls and domestic house type control units as well). each job. These statistics are accumulated as the job is invoiced. He is also able to track components from the suppliers invoices to the customers job sheets / invoices. This keeps a tight control of the inventory flow. AK Electrical does not keep stock other than the basic components. "Our stock database contains over 45000 stock cards and more than 10 years of customer history. The speed of access is instantaneous." One of the major requirements Kevin had was to be able to input the database from the suppliers so that he was able to invoice the items out onto the customers jobs. This tracks the stock from the supplier to the

job, and ensures the correct prices are charged through. Kevin is able to identify the number of hours charged per employee, the value of the work charged out, and the gross profit on each job / employee. "Maintaining a tight control of our cash flow has enabled me to securely expand my business." In addition, the cashbook enables Kevin to keep a good track on his cash flow and investments.
